SAT book not just for high school!

From the latest Amazon review of The Laugh Out Loud Guide:

“I keep my copy on my coffee table, and everyone that comes over loves to read through it. My friends and I actually read the questions out loud to see if anyone knows the answer. I’m sure you could build a board game around it.”

If you haven’t picked up a copy for your coffee table yet, what are you waiting for?

Adult Swim bump

If anyone wants to see the Adult Swim bump plugging my book, here it is.  Pretty cool, huh?

I will never hook up with Winona Ryder :-(

As much as I welcome the press for my SAT book… this article made me realize that any chance I had with Winona Ryder is almost certainly now gone.  :-(

The Laugh Out Loud Guide: Ace the SAT Exam without Boring Yourself to Sleep!

This is a comedic but totally legit SAT study guide that I wrote that just hit the bookstores.  Here’s a few example questions to give you a taste of the book:

Yo Momma so _______, when you mail her a letter, you need two zip codes.
(A) diaphanous
(B) luminous
(C) ravenous
(D) grisly
(E) corpulent

Fourteen years ago, Ashton Kutcher was exactly half the age of his wife Demi Moore. The sum of their ages today is 76. How old will Ashton be in 20 years when he leaves Demi for her first-born daughter?
(A) 30
(B) 48
(C) 50
(D) 52
(E) 53

Research shows that comedy enhances learning, reduces stress, makes subjects more interesting, and increases recall so you’ll remember more on test day.  I call it the Comedy EdgeTM.

Also, one of the biggest problems with preparing for the SAT is that it’s hard to get started with those thick boring books out there.  You turn the page and suddenly you’re asleep.  This is an excellent guide that can be used on its own or together with the standard prep books and classes (Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc.) out there.  If you’re taking the test or know someone who is, I highly recommend buying this book.

Alright enough talk.  Buy it! :-)

Now on sale!

I Wrote A Book!

I just got an advance copy of the book I wrote.  It’s called The Laugh Out Loud Guide: Ace the SAT Exam without Boring Yourself to Sleep!  It should be out in bookstores by the beginning of November.  I’ll talk more about it in the future, but in a nutshell, it’s a totally legitimate SAT study guide, only completely funny at the same time.  Think The Official SAT Study Guide meets [insert your favorite comedy show such as The Daily Show or The Colbert Report or The Tonight Show or The Onion, etc.].  I’m really excited about it and hope you buy it, especially if you’re studying for the SAT or if you know someone who is.  My goal was to make the SAT suck less.  It’s still going to suck, but hopefully a lot less.

It’s actually already available for pre-order on Amazon.com.  Check it out!  And more to come later.
