You probably don’t know who he was, and I’m only familiar with a fraction of his work myself because most of it was before my time, but even with that fraction it was clear as day that this was the greatest sitcom writer to have ever lived. If you were a fan of Cheers or Frasier, look at the Written By credit on your favorite episodes and you’ll see this name over and over again. Brilliant.
